Heart Home Network is NOT an emergency shelter.
Please refer to the list of emergency shelters below for immediate support.
We are a one-year residential program for women and children fleeing domestic violence who require longer-term safety, support, and recovery. This is referred to as a Second-Stage Shelter. Because of this, there is often a wait-list of families waiting to come to Heart Home Network from places like Emergency Shelters.
Shared Intake Program
Apply for Second-Stage Shelter at Heart Home Network, Radiance Centre, and Discovery House:
Heart Home Network is part of the Shared Intake Program. This is a collaboration between all three of Calgary’s second-stage shelters: Heart Home Network, Radiance Centre, and Discovery House. You only need to apply once and are placed on a single waitlist until a unit becomes available in one of the three shelters.
For information about the other second stage shelters, please visit their websites at: Radiance Centre and Discovery House.
