Indigenous Family Support

Our Indigenous Programming is created to meet the unique needs of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit people. The programming is made with feedback and recommendations from people and families currently being served by the Centre. We work alongside Elders of different communities and partner organizations to offer programming such as Elder visits, group activities such as beading, medicine picking, smudge kits and more!

Grandmother Turtle
Grandmother Turtle is a cultural program facilitated by Awo Taan Healing Lodge Society and Parent Link designed to help children learn the seven sacred teachings through the animals that represent them. Learn through interactive play, traditional songs, cultural dancing and drumming, and traditional stories. Sessions are delivered weekly in our Play Centre for 8 weeks.

The Bird/The Pîyesîs Sessions
The Bird / The Pîyesîs sessions series proposed to start August 2019 will include:

• Skirt-Making Class (One Session a Week for Four Weeks)

• Pow Wow (Day Trip with Transportation)
